Grit and sand separation and conditioning systems

Systems for grit washing and conditioning.

Grit classifiers and separators allow to reach a high standard in sand and grit separation from the effluent achieving 90% of the grit having particle size above 200 microns.

Some systems and configurations allow to reach a performance of 95% of grit greater than 200 microns or 90% of grit having size greater than 150 microns. The grit treatment allows to reduce the disposal costs of the screenings themselves, when performed in the proper way.

Specifically, the systems for grit handling allow to achieve, in different ways and with different grades, the following performances:

Organic and fecal matter reduction and removal from the grit with consequent:

• Nuisance reduction.
• Reduction of mould growing.
• Absence of leachates
• Long-term storage allowance.
• Recovery of organic matter.

Grit volume reduction with consequent:

Reduced mass and volume of grit to be disposed of.

Lower handling and shipping costs.

Grit convey and transport with consequent:

• No need for an additional piece of equipment.
• Reduced energy consumption.

The broad range allows to have a suitable unit for every application.
